I still remember the morning I sat on a horse for the very first time. I could not have been more than five or six years old. The smell of the stable, the warmth radiating from that enormous, gentle animal, the way it turned its head and looked at me with such calm, trusting eyes. I was terrified and completely in love, all at once. Something settled in me that morning that never really left.

What I saw moved me deeply. A dog left behind when a family relocated. A cat surrendered because the apartment rules changed. Animals bearing scars no creature should ever carry.

That gap costs animals their wellbeing every single day.
