What is the difference between dog walking and pet sitting? +
Dog walking is an active outdoor service your walker takes your dog out for 30 or 60 minutes with GPS tracking and sends photo updates. Pet sitting covers in-home care: your sitter comes to your home for drop-in visits (30–60 mins) or stays overnight, providing feeding, play and companionship in your pet's own familiar environment.
Are all walkers and sitters vetted and insured? +
Yes every Nyle provider goes through ID verification, a background check, reference review and a practical pet care assessment before being listed on the platform. All sessions booked on Nyle are also covered by our partner insurance at no extra cost to you.
Can I meet the walker or sitter before the first session? +
Absolutely. We always recommend a free 15-minute meet and greet before your first session so your pet and provider can get comfortable with each other. You can arrange this through the Nyle app or by messaging your provider directly after booking.
How does GPS tracking work for walks? +
For dog walks, your provider uses the Nyle app which shares a live GPS trail of the entire walk route. Once the walk is complete, you receive a walk report card showing the map, duration, distance covered and photos taken during the session all stored in your account history.
Can my sitter stay overnight at my home? +
Yes. Our overnight home sitting service means your sitter stays at your property from the agreed check-in time through to the following morning. This is ideal for pets who experience separation anxiety, pets on medication, or owners who want their home looked after while they are away.
What is a drop-in visit and how long does it last? +
A drop-in visit is a scheduled home visit where your sitter comes to your property, feeds your pet, spends quality time playing and provides any care needed (including litter cleaning or garden access). Drop-ins are available in 30-minute or 60-minute durations and are ideal for cats, small animals or dogs who do not need a full walk.
How are group walks managed and how many dogs are included? +
Group walks typically include 3–6 dogs of compatible sizes and temperaments. Your walker conducts a temperament assessment on your dog before the first group walk to ensure compatibility. Solo walks are also available for dogs who prefer one-on-one attention, puppies in training, or reactive dogs being gradually socialised.
What is the cancellation policy? +
You can cancel a dog walk or drop-in visit for free up to 2 hours before the scheduled time. For overnight sitting, free cancellation is available up to 24 hours before the start. Late cancellations may incur a 50% service fee to fairly compensate your provider for their reserved time.
